DYNAMIK TRAIL |
|
The principal of Crank Forward Bikes, or CF's, are the agility of the upright bike without the pain courtesy of blending in recumbent bike technology of the crank being forward, making it possible to ride a comfortable seat pan, unloading your wrists, and making it possible to reach the ground with your feet while seated on the bike.
The tall rise bar is designed to eliminate wrist pressure.
Seated climbs are still very effective and the Dynamik is stand and pedal capable, but only required
on very steep grades. A great bike on mild
trails, beaches, and general short haul rides where high traction wide
tires are suited.
This Dynamik Trail is very impressive in a desert single track setting,
and the Dynamik Pro exceptional. The seat position maintains
outstanding climbing traction while in the saddle and the front end
maintains line.

RANS STRATUS XP
We have had
consistent requests at Angletech for a true recumbent “mountain bike.” A couple of years back at the Interbike trade show in the Las Vegas desert, I was able to ride a truly worthy recumbent mountain bike. This was a dual 26" wheel format with a low crank, but 3-4" higher than other long wheelbase designs for better climbing leverage. After riding the road course, I was going to hand the bike
back and was asked; “what did you think of it on the off road course?” I
admitted I had not ridden it there and proceeded out to the dirt. This was
single-track trail in the desert with rolling climbs and banked berms.
People were watching me, saying I was a “daredevil” (not). I found the
bike to handle very well, the cantilevered fork, longish rear stays and
seat padding provided a supple ride without suspension. The downhill segment
had a couple of opportunities to get “air” in which its manners were solid
and predictable, landing without incident in a straight line.
The Stratus XP represents the most refined of this idea. A well structured truss style frame with triangulation at the crank zone for good power delivery, and the passive vertical suspension of the coverging tubes in the center, modest weight with a 70”
wheelbase, dual 26”wheel format, a better climbing crank position than other
LWB bikes, and excellent steering geometry.
You can get a
factory spec from us or ANGLETECH SPEC formats which are low/no
maintenance spec featuring sealed bearings throughout, cold forged cranks,
hand built wheels and among the offerings, a SRAM Dual Drive rear hub version yielding an 11.6 to 127.4
gear inch range for super climbing ability in slow speed off road
situations, and a killer overdrive for those down hill pavement runs. The
Stratus XP works well as an off road explorer or an over the road heavy duty
touring bike. Steel, Aluminum, and Titanium frame material choices.

Manufactured in Holland since 1989, we bring you the Challenge line of
recumbents. Having visited Challenge's facilities on an annual basis,
we have witness all phases
of construction and development.

The Seiran is the Range Rover of recumbents. Beefy oversize aluminum frame, rear suspension, longest wheelbase in class, and the cargo
capacity range is huge.
The dual 26 format rolls over imperfect terrain with ease, 3 cockpit formats are available along with Challenge
ergonomic seating in 2 lengths.
Low gears, disc brakes, and the best front end geometry in short wheelbase recumbent design. Flowing
lines of the
curved tubes show
you can have ruggedness and good looks in one bike.

CHALLENGE TRIKE
The Challenge Trikes work well for the off road with the 26" rear wheel, good ground clearance, low gearing, and the Novosport seat that has gotten very high marks from our customers. easy of entry and exit come from a higher seating position than most tadpole format trikes and the "wing" type frame crossmembers that ange back to the center of the frame so you can step much closer the the seat before you sit down. Additionally, the wings' airfoil shape give a vertically shock absorbing ride over the rough stuff. Go to our Trike section of our site for in depth details.
